    11 ways to use Clove oil for the Body

    Nausea and vomiting
    If you’re pregnant and suffering from morning sickness, put 2–3 drops of Clove Bud oil on a pillow or diffuse it with a few drops of Peppermint oil.

    Abdominal discomfort
    Clove Bud oil has anti-spasmodic properties and relieves bloating and flatulence. It also calms indigestion and eases diarrhoea. Add 10 drops of Clove Bud oil to 30ml of a carrier oil, such as almond or olive oil. Massage the abdominal area gently. 

    Fungal infections
    Infections such as candida or yeast can itch and burn. To make a soothing douche from Clove Bud oil, dilute 5–10 drops of oil in 1 litre of water and shake well. You can also dilute 5–10 drops of Clove Bud oil in 30ml of jojoba oil or coconut oil and apply directly to the affected area. 

    Fatigue
    When you’ve had a tiring day, diffuse Clove Bud oil or dilute 5–10 drops with a teaspoon of carrier oil and massage into the body’s various reflex points. You can also add a few drops of Clove Bud oil to the bath to relieve muscle fatigue.

    Headaches
    Clove Bud oil relieves throbbing headaches. Put 5–10 drops of the oil in your diffuser and let run it for 30–60 minutes.

    Toothache
    When you’re faced with a nagging toothache, put a few drops of Clove Bud oil on a cotton ball and hold on the sore tooth for 10–15 minutes. You’ll feel relief immediately. 

    Acne and breakouts
    If you’re worried about breakouts, you can create an antiseptic blend of 1–2 drops of Clove Bud oil mixed with 1 tablespoon of Rosehip Seed or jojoba oil. Gently massage this into the skin with your fingertips.

    Sore muscles
    Create a relieving blend for stiff, sore muscles from: 

    • 10 drops Clove Bud oil 
    • 10 drops Rosemary oil 
    • 50ml almond oil or olive oil. 

    Massage into the painful area and feel the warmth loosen the muscles. 

    Coughs and tight chest
    For asthma relief: add 5–8 drops of Clove Bud oil to your diffuser and run it for 30–60 minutes. For fast relief, when you first turn on your diffuser, take a few deep breaths of the vapour. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.

    For sore chest muscles from coughing: Mix 2–3 drops of Clove Bud oil into 1 teaspoon of carrier oil, then gently massage onto your chest and throat.

    Libido

How to Use Clove oil

Since ancient time, our ancestors knew very well the benefits of clove essential oil.

Clove is one of the most powerful antioxidant natural antiseptic oils. it is very high in eugenol and phenol, which have incredible health benefits. Clove essential oil is antimicrobial, expectorant, antiseptic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-fungal. This is an amazing essential oil that is well worth keeping in your natural remedy collection.

1. For nausea and vomiting

Pregnant women suffering from morning sickness can put 2-3 drops clove oil on the pillow or diffuse it with few drops of peppermint.

2. Protection from insects

The pungent smell of clove will deter insects including mosquitoes.

Diffuse a mixture of 8-10 drops with 8-10 drops of lemongrass oil will ward off insects.

3. Combats fatigue

Clove oil is an energy booster. It is also a blood thinner. Diffuse it, or dilute 3-5 drops with a teaspoon of carrier oil on massage the reflex points. Or add a few drops into the bathwater to relieve muscle fatigue after a tiring day.

Always dilute clove oil before applying it to the skin because it is highly potent and can burn your skin. 5. Muscle pain

Put 5-10 drops and 5-10 drops of rosemary in 50 ml almond oil or olive oil. Massage the mixture into the area where you are feeling the pain.

Yeast infection can cause redness, itchiness and burning, which is uncomfortable. It can be treated by diluting 5-10 drops  in 1 liter of water, shake well and use it as a douche.

7. Alleviate headache

Clove oil aromatherapy can be used to relieve headache pain, too. Put 5 to 10 drops of the oil in your diffuser and run it for 30 to 60 minutes.

8. Stop toothache

Put a few drops on a cotton ball and hold the cotton ball on the sore tooth for 10-15 minutes. Pain relief will be almost immediate.For this purpose, you can use clove oil undiluted but make sure you are using organic food-grade clove essential oil.

9. For coughing

For relief from asthma: add 5 to 8 drops  to your diffuser and run it for 30 to 60 minutes at a time. You can take a few deep breaths of the vapors when you first turn on your diffuser to get fast relief. Breathe them in through your nose and out through your mouth.

For relief of sore chest muscles from coughing: mix 2-3 drops of clove oil into 1 teaspoon of carrier oil like coconut oil, jojoba oil then gently massage it into your chest and throat.
